Got a code 26 on my 1985 corvette the code will come on within 15 minutes of driving 75% of the time. Anyway I could pull over turn off the car and start it back up and the ses light is off every time! Anyway this is my first vette. I know it’s something to do with the ECM but I’m not technically inclined is this “really Bad news” or is this a fixable issue.

As stated above dtc 26 doesn't apply to TPI. It does apply to evap solenoid on a LT1. On many FWD cars its for a quad driver error. Quad drivers are like a circuit breaker within ECM that will reset when key cycled. Then open when fault reappears. "Don't shoot the messenger"
