So I changed my 93 Z07 Corvette from Koni Sports to Ridetech shocks to gain adjust-ability on car.
Here is my impressions:
Ridetech is a very nice quality monotube shocks built my Fox Shocks. Good stuff. Single adjustable with a HUGE range of rebound adjustment.
They ride firmer than the Koni Sports on the softer settings. I had to turn them down to like 6 out of about 24 clicks on the rebound to be OK. Keep in mind I have Z07 springs.
Auto-x use I put them fronts where around 18 clicks and rears around 12 clicks. My BUTT shocks dyno and hand dyno (pre install) feels like a bit more compression dampening but very close.
The rears mount inverted which is cool. Adjusters are easy to get to. These are half the weight of the twin tube gas charged Koni Sports. They have NO dust shields for the shock shafts so....IDK how much I'd recommend for everyday street use with nicks into the steel from stuff.
Came with nice bushings/hardware with clear instructions.
Overall, a nice upgrade from my Koni Sports. That being said the Koni Sports are a good shock for the price. WAY better than OEM or aftermarket OEM replacement junk.
I would rate the Koni Sports and the Ridetechs for sure above QA1 and Viking Shocks. I personally don't like their designs.
For the money the Ridetechs are a great upgrade.
The only way to upgrade from here is a set of Penske or Motion Control shocks.
I totally agree with your assessment of the Ridetech shocks. I liked them a lot. Compared to the Bilstein Z51 shocks it is a huge improvement.
After about two years of owning the Ridetech adjustable shocks I bit the bullet and went for the whole coilover kit with sway bars and bushings.
I have 18" Forgestar wheels and BF Goodrich Rival S 1.5 tires (315 30-18 rear and 275 35-18 front).
My car handles better than anything I have ever owned. I even think it handles better than the C6 ZO6 I tracked in Vegas!!
The capabilities are beyond my driving abilities, but I have a grin on my face every time I take an off ramp. I have not attended any autocrosses since this setup because of Covid.
But I plan on it soon.
It's good to get your impressions, Rubie. I've been touting the Ridetechs to people looking for good C4 shocks for a while. If I'd kept my C4, I would probably rocking a set now, maybe with custom valving for my stiffer springs. But yeah, they seem to be a killer bargain given what you get for the price.

Did you try adjusting your KONI Sports?? I have the KONI Sports on my C4 and find that I can adjust them to meet any condition I've been in.

They definitely have a nice range of adjustment, and they are set up so the adjustment only changes the rebound damping (the correct way for a single-adjustable). The only gripe I had with mine is that adjusting the rears is a PITA, and definitely not something you do on a whim when conditions warrant it. The Ridetechs have an accessible **** on the rears that makes them easy to adjust in comparison.
