Today I went through a touchless car wash to get rid of road spray, nothing I haven't done before.
This afternoon, was going to place an order at Sonic, and the window wouldn't roll down.
No motor noise, nothing, push switch and no activity. Passenger side still works fine. Also opened door to check for binding, still no activity with door open.
Re: Driver's window quit working today. (Matt Black)
Ive had the same problem and I took to whole door apart and checked everything and it all seemed fine then i shook the wires and it worked  , but when ever I close the door with the window totaly down it gets stuck again and I have to beat on the door, slam it, ect. ect. and it will work again, so I would try to slam your door a couple of times before you take it apart, and make sure you shake the wires before you buy anything.
Re: Driver's window quit working today. (Matt Black)
Usually it is the window switch itself ($9.00 new) or the power window ribbon breaks - nylon. They are usually on e-bay for about $40.00, which includes the motor, ribbon, and mounting bracket. Hope this helps.

EDIT: Dang, just saw that you have a '93. You dont have a ribbon and use a different motor. Well, the offer still stands if you think it will work.
Hey Matt,
I've got a 95% functional driver's side regulator from my 86. It was still working when I upgraded to the newer version. The ribbon is about 3 months old and the motor is fine. The rack itself is iffy because I snapped the rivets on the top and had to make-shift it to work. You can have the motor and ribbon for the price of shipping if you want it. Should cost around $5-$10 or so. You will need a rivet gun to reinstall the motor on your rack. Email me if you need it.
Re: Driver's window quit working today. (Matt Black)
Had trouble with my window. Turned out to be the switch. You can check by unscrewing the console and switching around the drivers & pass. switches. Takes about 5 minutes, and you may get lucky, the switches are the easiest part of the system to get to....
Re: Driver's window quit working today. (Matt Black)
If the switch has been replaced does anyone know if its possible to reverse the wires at the switch to make it run backwards ie:i have to push up for my drivers window to go down and vice versa.i also have auto up on that window instead of down. its a 94 coupe any help would be appreciated thanks
Re: Driver's window quit working today. (Matt Black)
Check out the repair article in the tech section or get it from my home page. I tell how to disassemble and replace the motor. Moisture gets to the motor and the brushes rust and the motor stops running.
Same thing happened to my passenger side window this afternoon. Window will not work with either switch(driver side/passenger side) so I'm guessing that the motor went south on me? And just that quick? Zane

If you have to slam the door or remove the panel and tap on the motor, the brushes are rusted and only will work intermittenly. I replaced the motor in the drivers side of my 94' coupe two weeks ago. Ordered new motor for about $ 59.00.. If you need any tips besides the the other posts (which I used to replace mine) just e=mail me. David Ames

David, Where did you get the motor at for $59.00. My passenger side window is working now but only a matter of time until it quites completely. Might as well get the motor now so when the times comes I have it. Thanks Zane
