Hopefully this is just a simple question. I’m trying to bypass my VATS by installing the pre-made resistor plug under the dash. I’ve looked only and every plug or wire harness I see that other people have seem to be purple wires with an orange sheathe around the wires. Of course mine is different so I’m hesitant to install this resistor because I’m not trying to short anything out. I’ve read the resistance at the connector that’s going back up to the ignition and it’s very close to the resistance I read on my spare key. I’m unable to remove the key from the ignition to see if the resistance goes to 0L because the ignition is broke and I’m unable to turn it all the way off and remove the key. It turns off enough to kill the car and electronics but not enough to remove key. Anyways, here’s the connector I have.
Apparently yours is an early car and still original. BRN & YEL works.
what year? Your FSM if you have one should confirm see something at or near 8A-136-6 for most early cars I'd think.
Do you have the correct FSM (Factory/Field Service Manual) for your car?
No, I don't have a FSM yet. I just picked up the car about 2 months ago and working on the few things that needed some love. It's an 87 btw... guess I should have included that in my original post. Thanks for the response.

Change FSM location/CELL to 8A-133-8 vs what was originally mentioned for '87. BRN & YEL is good though!
