1984 ac
My 85 has sat for a long while (before I got it). I was told when it was parked the AC worked great but by the time I got to it, not so much. I checked the system out and it needs all new hoses, the rubber ones connected to the manifold as well as the accumulator to evaporator hose. I ordered the hoses.
will I need to add oil to the system? If so, how can I tell how much? I do have a case of R 12 automotive Freon.
thanx
just saw I fat fingered 84 instead of 85 in the title. It is an 85.

Your car takes 2.75 pounds of freon. When I filled mine it was a little more than 2 and a half cans. Then I used the pressure gauges and an r12 ambient temp/pressure chart to make minor adjustments.
