Issue on C68 climate control
I need Help to solve my issue.
My vette is an 1990 with Electronique climate control C68
description
- Auto flashing and front desfrot fashing too, exterior temp move to 10° to - 0° (50° to 32°). no french air
- If i push on off, desfrot stop flashing, and exterior come back with correct data
on diag procedure i found this :
02 / Temperature Door Motor Circuit Fault
04 / Ambient Sensor Short
06 / In-Vehicle Temperature Sensor Short
08 / Solar Load Sensor Short
where i'm suprise, i start to replace ambient sensor because temperature was wrong on auto mode. So i don't trust 4 sensors fail at same time, and 4 sensors include the new one.
before to start to replace other sensor or parts of system, i would like understand what's happen. could be the panel control? or programmer? other?

You need to speak with Bryan at BATEE.Com where he repairs these often enough.
I opened my own unit up and there were warped connector sockets for the long plug that connects the face plate on the C68. It was close to 1/8" rise that makes for bad connections. Bad connections and you will get little out of it. Mine only worked occasionally and you had to tap it a special way to wake it up (Occasionally).
My best advice is to find Bryan at BATEE.com.

It is not the panel control. It could be the programmer. I would still run through the diagnostic flowcharts in the Factory Service Manual. If you do not have the Factory Service Manual, I highly recommend acquiring one.
