1990 Steering rack code FB
Anyone know anything about this steering rack code? (stamped on bottom cover of input shaft)...
FE1 suspension so, nothing special. But no one seems to list a rebuilt rack with this code?

Could that actually be FH? In '89 (last year for 2 RACK ID GM SPO) there was an FH as one of the codes. The 1990 build sheets that I've seen display the FH for the box. All years beyond '90 GM SPO mentions no code select options. Do you have a 'build sheet' for your '90?.

What would be interesting is, those that have 'Build Sheets' for years '90 and newer post up what their 'Build Sheet' mentions and if they've ever validated that with the 'end cap' ID. For '90 it's block 20 and I've seen only FH there on a couple '90 MY. I've never checked later. Later than '90 I believe the ID on the 'end cap' is likely irrelevant.
