Been doing quite a bit of research on the SuperPro bushing kit for my 94 Z.....alot of great info here in the Tech Section.....just spoke with C&S Corvette and they are back in stock as of about a hour ago....so if anyone was or is thinking about it....now would be the time.....just placed my order about a 1/2 hour ago....since the 94 is already apart....hopefully the install will go well.... Thanks for the info; I've just pushed the button on my set as I'll be doing that work soon both front and rear.
Glad to have helped.....I love spending everyone else's money besides my own.....lol.....my front end is just about totally apart and has been for awhile....as I am doing other work as well....hopefully this will go as smooth as possible....will also be interesting to follow your progress as well....
Suggest have Lyle put in three or four additional grease packs, You only get two with the kit.
If you do not have a 12 ton hydraulic press I highly recommend a $100 HFT press and go to a machine shop and pick up a couple of 3:4 to 1inch plate steel for additional stacking plates.
One last trick is use a short 3:8 extension put in a large socket up side down so the extension goes down into the bushing and you have a flat surface to press on.
Hope this helps.
I am just getting back to my project of bushings and a lot of other items.
Thanks Hawkeye56

I believe that the silicone caliper grease with TPE is the same grease. The Super Pro Representative told me that. The grease I received from Lyle was clear,, The grease that I purchased from the Rep, when I ordered the front sway bar bushings are colored black.
The package says premium bushing grease.
Thanks Hawkeye56
Nice looking parts, my polyurethane bushing are over 25 years old and still squeaking on both C3 and C4! Be sure to let us know How you like the SuperPro brand. I might have to replace the ones I did decades ago.
Good Luck and don't hesitate to cut the old ones with a saw if you have to. I used a sawzall and saved some time. One person told me to burn the out with a torch but the clean up might be more that I want to deal with. It is a GREAT time to clean up your suspension parts and really make your Corvette shine.
I did mine with the red fully poly bushings and the rear dog bones squeaked pretty badly. I didnt have enough grease. I was very liberal with my application trying to stay away from the squeaks. I red on their site you can use marine grease. It has the sticky properties like that silicone grease. I got some from autozone and re-did the dog bones and now its nice and quiet. So that is an option.
Yes a great chance to cleanup the suspension which I already started awhile ago...as the front end is totally apart on my 94....so may take a little extra time to get it completely done...as there is alot going on here....lol..also appreciating all of the tips... .

Have fun, I did mine in early spring. I found that using a ball joint press was a good way to remove and install most of the bushings. I only needed the big 20 ton press for a couple of them, like the front control arms.

I saw that your Corvette still has the rubber hoses going from the individual calipers. These hoses are only good for a period and then can act up. I bought a set from Classic Tubing that have the stainless steel braided jacket over the rubber lines. They make the brakes even better as they do not expand when you apply the brakes. The one thing to look for however is to be sure that they are D.O.T. Approved. There are sets being sold that don't have the D.O.T. Approval and I would avoid them.
I replaced the brake hoses on both of my Corvettes and I love the difference as it makes the brake pedal a bit tighter.
That is a beautiful Corvette you have there! It will really be nice to drive once the new bushings are all in place and you are on a winding road! My old Poly bushings like to be lubricated or they start to squeak. Mine were made before they got smart and included a lubricant into the mixture.

Thanks ctmccloskey.....yes getting rid of the old hoses....and I do have an AC Delco replacement rubber hose set still in the boxes....I would imagine that they are DOT Approved....will check that out again....and will check the braided hoses out...thanks for the tip and the compliment on my 94....

Hello Bfenty.....thanks and appreciated....will definitely ask questions along the way.....and thanks also for the compliment on the 94.....

Hello moonstation2000.....I'm always having fun....lol....especially when you have 2 Vettes apart as opposed to just 1....lol.....hope I don't need the big press to remove anything....we shall see....still more to do....
Getting things done slow but sure.... steering knuckles are now cleaned and replacing the hub bearings....one side done...
getting a control arm bushing removal kit tomorrow....so we'll see how that goes... One cleaned.... One side completed Hub bearing before install... Backside...this unit is ready for install....

It shouldn't be too hard to remove the old bushings, all of mine came out fairly easily. I only needed the big press on the bigger bushings for fitment purposes, not because I needed the extra pressure. It was definitely used on the front control arms.
That was a joke about the fun part, I found the job to be a bit of a pain at times. There were definitely a couple of new bushings that didn't want to go into their new homes that I had to throw a lot of curse words at... Luckily beer was there to console me and calm me down lol
