timing/iac question

I picked up a scanner similar to what you described you had - I did not get a fancy one - yet - that requires laptop etc. - I just got it from ebay - I hope to test it out today and see what it has and can offer information wise
when I checked the timing before it was at 6* - I ran it on the freeway yesterday - to me it ran as strong if not stronger than when I got it - very willing to go - opened it up just a little - about 90 - everything seemed ok -
the only thing I noticed different was that when I came to a stop and put it in neutral - it idled about 1k - couple of seconds, then dropped 900, couple seconds - continued this and came to rest about 750-800 - temp on the dash never got above 160-165 - does any of that sound about right -? it has run much cooler since removing the a/c stuff and changing coolant

autox 2000 scanner - no codes - but no data either
idle seems a little higher after warmed up and driving - while running the scanner - temp was around 110+ - idle was 680-720 - ish - seemed pretty mellow
