My GF's dads 94 headlight motor just stopped working yesterday. It worked perfect two days ago and yesterday nothing. I listened to the motor when he turned the the lights on and heard nothing. It didn't sound like it was getting any power because it wasn't even trying to open. The passenger side light works fine though. Are there seperate relays for the two motors? If so where are they. What do you think could be wrong?
Re: 94 headlight problems, please give insight (85WHITEZ51)
if the motor is burnt out, you wouldn't hear it trying to move..
the first thing to do is check for power at the electrical connection to the motor when you try to operate it..
if there is power at the motor, then the motor is probably burnt out in at least one position. tapping or shaking the unit may rotate the motor enough to a good winding and allow it to operate again, although operation may continue to be sporadic until fixed..
