I need to drain enough fluid out of my block to remove my intake. Will removing this sensor/swith (not sure what it is) on the drivers side, drain enough coolant to accomplish this.
Everything is taken down. My new intake bolts and gaskets came in today from JEGS and after some cleaning and swapping hardware from one intake to the next, the new base (Edelbrock) goes on tomorrow. :steering:
I passed on the lifters J. I'm gonna do the whole valve train when I do the heads and cam. Usually I do take the extra insurance but I opted not to this time around.
[QUOTE]yes, it is emmisions related. All the plumbing from the headers/exhaust manifolds can be removed if you opt for the A.I.R elimination kit
OK, now I see. My 92 here in Calif has to be kept emissions legal..and my header set up is a little different than yours. You could always chrome it :jester or just buy a non emission compliant set. Anyway, if I had your money I would burn mine. :D
Hey there, Chuck -lookin' good. Got a little hint for ya. My header bolts looked (rusty) just like yours only a month ago. I went down to Menards (a home-improvement-type store in our area) and picked up a handful of stainless steel 3/8" x 2" bolts (I *think* that was the size - measure yours, first). BIG improvement, and they should stay looking good a long, long time. Just remember to goop 'em up a little with anti-sneez.
