i would of just bought a crank at the time, but there was none to buy last summer during covid plus some el cheapo scat crank or eagle crank probably are not much better if any that a stock vette crank and i like refurbished good stuff over cheaper end after market stuff anyways. i mean sure get the 4340 billet crank package that can hold 1500-2000 hp. but why for my 400-450 hp engine.

i did a desktop dyno from an old link i found here and built my engine to the T on it at my sea level elevation and everything and it was saying 430 hp and like 460 torque with a really nice flat power band. yes.. i know that it flywheeel hp. but it was through the hooker headers and x pipe exhaust system . i figure if i can pull off 350 hp to the wheels and 375 torque or so at the wheels.. i will consider that mission accomplished for my L98 Carb motor. that is a significant improvement over what the car was stock and not die at 4500 rpm's
