I was able to narrow down my no start in my 95 to a bad set of injectors. I was only getting a burble, and though I had pulse and pressure, wasnt getting any fuel into the engine. I suppose it sat too long while waiting for me to fix opti issues.
I know there is a ton of knockoffs on ebay, which Im not even considering. My options right now seem to be to rebuild the original set, or rebuilt bosch design 3 injectors.
Looking to see what you guys have used and had success with. I know the newer injectors are supposed to be better equipped to handle more modern ethanol laced fuels. Anyone have issues with fuel trims being off with them, or reliability issues?
With my Bosch IIIs from Fuel Injector Connection the car runs fantastically. I bought new rather than rebuilt, and used the same flow rate as stock - 22lbs. I was on my second set of Multecs in my '89 and the Bosch III is so much better I'm glad I did it. Exact fit, with an extra debris-sealing O-ring on the lower manifold seat area (3 rings total).
+1 on the Bosch III's. No tuning required for me as my BLM's hover at 128 after the install. The engine runs so smooth you can set a beer on top of the engine and not get foam...although I will caution you that you will end up with a hot beer if left there too long.
I would be very hesitant to buy a set of Fuel Injectors from the people on EBAY. I bought a set of new Bosch Injectors for my C4 at South Bay Injectors and they have really reasonable prices and fast shipping on the East Coast.
The newer injectors will make the Corvette run so much smoother than before. I am very happy with my Bosch Injectors.
Bosch hands down!! made the mistake of having my Multecs cleaned...lasted les than an hour and malfuncitoning again .
Then bought a cheaper set off Summit...guess what. lol
Learned the same lesson with Sensors, gotta get the good stuff or youll be buying it again
Have you considered sending them off for refurbishing? I did with mine on my '94 about 15 yrs ago and they are still functioning beautifully! Just had her out yesterday and she runs like a Swiss clock. PM if you want to know where I mailed them for refurbishing. Top notch service
