Default 1988 corvette

i have. an 88 corvette . 30000 miles on it. starting getting a service engine light intermittently. had checked code 36-mafs. replaced mafs and both relays. code 36 went away and now got code 33. had it in corvette repair shop for 4 days. they can not diagnose issue. they changed out mafs and relays again- also tried different computer. code still there. car starts but runs like crap for first 5 seconds or so then seems to run ok. shut it off and start back up with good running. only seems to happen when car sits overnight. they cant diagnose it. used to only get code 36 sporadically and when service engine soon light came on car still ran great. never had the start cold issue. any thoughts on where to go to next. driving me crazy. issue started when air filter housing broke and had to be replaced. the bracket that holds air filter to shroud broke and allowed a gap between shroud and filter. light came on as i drove it home. replaced shroud and all was fine for a few months then ses light came on throwing code 36.

Have you monitored your fuel pressure at the rail when its in the "on" position, running and again once you shut the car down?
