High Idle // Wont Start
The problem I was facing was the fact that the corvette only starts with accelerator depressed 100%, if not it will just continuously turn over. Once started the car will idle to high around 1200-1300. I proceed to go shift into drive and the car bogs and stalls out.
If I rev the motor up to about 1800 and put it into drive and apply the correct amount of throttle to keep the motor alive while it is shifting into gear it will drive. Once driving it is still idling to high around 1100-1200. At stop lights I will have to apply a lot of braking to compensate for the high idle. Once shifted back into park the revs shoot up to 1900 then settle down to 1200. Car runs perfect around town, highway speeds, hard pulls etc.. other then having the high idle
Now comes the weird part, some times in the middle of a drive where the car is running poorly out of nowhere the car idles normally around 600 at stop lights and in park, during this time the car shifts into and out of drive with no problems and starts up with zero issues. after running great for the whole day with multiple times having the car shut off and back on again the car will return to its original state where it will not start unless pedal floored and high idle.
One thing I have noticed was when the car was driving poorly, not starting and high idle my horn was not working. When the car would run great with no issues the horn will work great. I'm not sure if this is a coincidence or not but I hope it helps you guys in the forum help me.
ANY HELP WILL BE MUCH APPRECIETED THANKS!
