Have 93 40th edition car died and lost dash gauges traced it back to CCM/BCM had it rebuilt. While tracing found the two inductors "RF chokes" that are wired to the unit shorted out . When talking to the rebuilder he suggested a charging problem could be the cause. Tried to replace the inductors could not find the exact replacements put in two that had a slightly lower inductant. Car started, dash lite up all looked good for two minutes then motor and dash died.. Can not check charging system without it running. .Does anyone know where i can get exact replacement inductors in FSM could not find any part number for it, "figure 6" CCM wire diagram only shows them where there connected to the CCM. Also can I just by pass them to try to trouble shoot my system, Help want my car back, lost it for the whole summer.
A quick check of an earlier CCM ('92 I believe) I see no RF Chokes so it seems that along with the addition of 2 Under Hood MAXI boxes vs the 'jump block' the RF Chokes were added. I assume that yours also blew the CCM2 fuse. You didn't mention yes/no. I would think the service that did your CCM repair/rebuild should be able to advise. After rebuild/repair did your ODO reflect correct mileage?
Were you able to ID the RF Chokes you removed? What value did you guess at?
Maybe someone parting a '93 could provide you that connector but you need to locate the S236 splice to know that you've had it cut beyond that point.
