Hello all,
My 85 C4 had the starter spin out of control and smoke so I installed a new OE AC Delco starter. The ring gear on the flex plate looks pretty good over all. Just a very small flat spot, not worried. The issue is after I installed the new starter, it won't start, at all. Nothing. I have power to everything. I pulled the starter relay and ordered a new one. Should have it tomorrow. Any advice would be great if after I put in the new relay and still get nothing. Thanks in advance for the support
I am a dumb ***. After some very careful observation I noticed I had it wired to the R terminal and not the S terminal on the cellinoid. Swapped it, fired right up. Took my dash apart for no reason. Anyway thanks for the response.

Turns over wont start it has spark and fuel pressure but no injector pulse. Has engine code 46 which is VATS Fault but i used a resistor and bypassed the system. It will run if i continue to spray carb cleaner or starting fluid in plenum.
I had similar issues with my C4. What fixed it for me was taking apart the intake, TB, Plenum, etc, and put it back together with new injectors, sensors, gaskets. Has run great ever since. Conventional wisdom says to not throw parts at it, but in my case it worked after months of chasing codes. New O rings too.
I was under the impression that the Distributor has something to do with generating the signals for the injector pulse. Have you done anything to the distributor in all your work?
When you measure the battery voltage at the battery and then measure the battery voltage at the Fuse panel, are they the same numbers? Sometimes a voltage drop can cause issues.
