what all do you plan on doing? if it's the GM hotcam you mean just go to your local dealer and order the hotcam kit. it's a complete package and in the performance catalog.

You don't necessarily need the kit since you're starting with an LT4 :)

Call Jeff Kopp and order the HOTCam. In addition, at a minimum, you probably ought to consider replacing the original valve springs. Stock LT4 springs work and they're only $30.

Some say the stock torque-to-net LT4 roller rockers work, others say they needed adjustable rockers. If you need/want adjustable rockers, you also need to buy new studs (LT4s have 10mm shouldered studs). Then you have to decide how far you want to take it...7/16" studs with 1.6 ratio adjustable, non-aligning roller rockers require guide plates. Go with 3/8" studs (again, order from Jeff Kopp and get LT1 studs) and you'll find both Crane and CompCams make 3/8" adjustable, self-aligning 1.6 roller rockers and guideplates aren't required.

If you do decide to replace the rockers and prefer Crane, then the kit may be the way to go. You'll still need to purchase 3/8" studs.

In addition, you should consider a new LT4 timing chain or an LT4 Extreme Duty Timing chain ($$). If you have a low mileage car and don't beat on it much, the current chain is probably ok. Dragstrip runs on a weekly basis and you should lean real hard towards the Extreme Duty chain and gears.

Next, you need all the gaskets....front cover, intake manifold gaskets, water pump gaskets, oil pan gasket (gotta lower the pan to remove the front cover), water pump drive shaft , Optispark, and crankshaft seals in the front cover, and exhaust gaskets for the headers.

If you're going with long tubes, you'll need custom PCM programming or o2 sims otherwise you'll set DTCs and the SES light will come. this happens because the rear o2 sensors are no longer there.

The HOT Cam runs on stock programming. It may set misfire codes due to the lope at idle though. You'll also want to bump the fuel cutoff a couple hundred rpm (6500 is a nice place to shift with a HOTCam'ed LT4). Custom programming from a tuner can fix this or you can do it yourself via LT1 Edit.
