I want to take apart the fuel rail off my 89 to clean it but I can;t find a part number for the o rings. The parts manual doesn't list any. Is there a kit for them or what?
Yes actually there is. If you go to Napa or O'Reilly's they should be able to set you up with them. Tell them you also need the fuel supply and return line O-rings. There are several different part numbers from GM for each ring if you want to get them separately. Advise if you want those numbers here.
At NAPA a CRB 212078 should get you as close to a complete package for rails as there is. It is likely missing potentially one or both correct ones to the feed/return lines @ the front. Buy and compare. There are other vendors, SMP and BWD come to mind that offer similar. There will be NO injector o-rings in those packages.
You can also get the complete rebuild kit here. You are wise to do this, I changed mine recently because of a terrible fuel leak. Most of the o-rings were hard and no longer pliable. The kit I got did include the injector o-rings, but not the 2 for fuel lines. Ask for Jon. Fuel Injector Connection - High Performance Fuel Injectors

Why would you not buy from a vendor that supports this very forum that brings us all together to share this information?
Now that there statement is 'FUNNY' !
If any vendor supplied services, product that wasn't/isn't available 'LOCAL' then that vendor deserves some consideration BUT NEVER/NEVER/NEVER should they they be the 'first consideration'!
My 'local' NAPA has sponsored various local projects forever!!
I've got a fuel rail leak on my 89 and will be tearing into it this week. It's been 10 years since I replaced the orings last time. They say to use Vaseline to coat the new orings on install. Also, last time I took the fuel rail apart, I couldn't get the little cylinder tube out of the fuel pressure regulator's base. And so I didn't change that one oring. Tips on how to get that cylinder tube out without tearing it up or nicking it?
I'm referring to "250" in this diagram:
This is what I ordered from Rock Auto:
Fuel Rail orings = STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS SK24
Fuel rail to fuel lines orings (Two are needed and is the 1 and 2 in the above diagram. On 89 they both are the same size) = GM GENUINE 217452
Part #250 in the diagram above I didn't have a lot of trouble with when I took my rail apart a year ago; I think I just wrapped it a couple of times with electrical tape (to prevent plier jaws from chewing up the metal) and gave it a twist with pliers to remove. The O-ring is the only thing holding it in there once you've got those retainer clips off. Give it a shot.

Perhaps wiser than most know, the early c4 were built and sold before ethanol laced gasoline was the norm. The ethanol seals are more robust than oem seals from an 84-85-86 c4. Hell you could still be regular unleaded around here at the pump until about 1987-1988.
