Unfortunately I didnt get to work on the car tonight but i had a thought. When I changed the fuel pump, and took off the gas tank cover bolts. It was unbelievably dirty. Could it be possible that air is escaping their as well? Would RTV be a bad idea since its just metal bolted onto metal? Tommorow after work, I'm going to swap the pulsator with a tube and hope that works.
I just realized you mentioned metal to metal. NO, there is a rubber gasket that goes here. It is NOT supposed to be metal to metal. Dan
RTV does not like exposure to gasoline or ethanol. Not a good place to try it. I used some Permatex gasket maker/sealant when I did mine. I also used anti-seize compound on the hardware to keep them from rusting in place.
Also be sure to have a new sock for the fuel pickup as well..
I have a new gasket coming in today for the fuel tank. I installed a new fuel sock when I did the pump a few weeks ago. I will update as soon as I bypass the pulsator and install the gasket. Hopefully fuel pressure doesn't dip anymore after the bypass.
After the fuel pump is switched off, if the fuel pressure drops relatively quickly, it is either the injectors leaking, the fuel pressure regulator leaking or the check valve in the fuel pump allowing fuel to bleed off. In my opinion, the latter scenario is not a big issue and not the cause of fuel in the oil. My fuel pump has always bled down to 0 psi within 3-5 seconds and my car runs well.

Okay so i just installed the pulsator bypass and fuel tank gasket. My pressure now shoots up to 40 and drops to 37 right after the fuel pump is done priming, then slowly goes down from there. It is much slower than before the bypass was installed. Still dropping though. Dont smell anything near injectors. Don't see any gas anywhere either. I know i should just do the injectors anyway, I just dont have $300 to use in them at the moment. I can't post the video but heres a link to the video in my google drive:https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Evo...w?usp=drivesdk
I think you're good man. That behavior on the slow pressure drop after the FP stops its 2 second priming is not that unusual from my experience...If you have changed the fuel pressure regulator and you don't have leaks elsewhere like you've checked, I think you're good....
