85 setting idle and tps

85 setting idle and tps

I got my tps set to .54 alright. My idle in drive is between 500 to 540. I would like it set to 540 to 570 if i adjust the screw will i have to set the tps again?

Why do you want to raise the idle speed? Is you engine stalling at idle?

If you do adjust the idle setpoint, remember to disconnect the IAC Valve and the EST timing connector. My 85 Service Manual does not tell you to disconnect the EST, but if you don't, the ECM will try to adjust the idle while you are adjusting the manual screw,
