AFR 190 and Hypertech fan switch...

I'm trying to put a Hypertech fan switch #4026 in a AFR 190. Problem is the the Hypertech is about a half inch longer than the stock switch and it bottoms out inside the water jacket before it tightens up. I called Hypertech and the guy said he's never heard that problem before. Any one ever run into this before? Or any ideas? Thanks.

i have a 180 fan switch. I don't know if it's a hyper tech or what, but i had no problems with it in my 190s.

This happens sometimes. You can get a Standard Parts switch that will fit due to its small "nose". It also has the proper connector shape. It will turn your auxilary fan on ay about 210F which is fine. Then "force" your main fan on full time to keep engine temp near thermostat. You can do this with a ground wire or switch to ground on the control wire at fan relay.
