I PUT A 75 SHOT NOS SYSTEM ON THE 92 VETTE. THE CAR RUNS VERY GOOD WITH IT BUT IN BETWEEN SHIFT POINTS THE CAR ACTS AS IF IT IS ON THE REV LIMITER. IF I LET OUT OF IT THE CAR SHIFT FIND. BUT WHEN I SPRAY IT IT WILL NOT SHIFT UNLESS I GET OUT OF IT. WHAT GIVES.
Can you hear it hitting the limiter? Or, does it seem to want to "hang" between gears for a moment? I had this problem with my 4L60E. I was simply a bit low on my tranny fluid. Ran okay until I hit the juice, then wanted to hang a bit before shifting. Not long, but definately didn't shift like it was supposed to. This may not be what you are describing, but it's what happend to me. Hope it's something as simple as this! Good luck.
YES IT IS AN AUTO, A DRY KIT AND THE TRANSMISSION, I HAVE NOT CHECK YET. I DO HAVE A FULL THROTTLE SWITCH. SO WHAT ELSE COULD IT BE? I HOPE IT IS AS SIMPLE AS LOW FLUID LEVEL. ANOTHER QUESTION, WITH A 75 SHOT WHAT DO YOU THINK THE HP GAIN WILL BE? STOCK ENGINE. CUT LID, BYPASS, THERMOSTAT CHANGE TO 180 AND HAS FAN SWITCH ON IT. SHOULD I BE ABLE TO RUN A 13.6 WITH IT? 2:59 GEAR.

The HP gain should be within 5% plus or minus. I gained 147 with a 150 shot.
When I added HP to my engine (Cam etc.) my transmission had to be adjusted to shift properly. Not sure what to expect when I spray. I am still breaking in the new engine. :seeya
You have to leave the car on OD when on the spray. Leave it in drive and you might hang up some, try to manually shift and you most likely will hang up. Had the same thing happen to me. Now in OD car shifts fine on the spray. Go see it run in the kill section. Took out a BPU Supra the other day.

Sorry to disagree, if set up properly with a full throttle switch and a window switch it will not matter if you are in D or OD. Most will run in D for the 1/4 mile. :nonod:
D or OD will make no difference in the shifts just remember that the 3 to 4 shift is the weakest link in these automatic transmissions. In a 1/4 mile you should never get into OD unless you have more than 3.75 gears. If it is hanging on the shifts you should change the fluid. Drop the pan, shange the filter and gasket, refill with the correct fluid paying close attention to the proper level. If the tranny is electronic control have the line pressure raised in the programming after you've taken care of the fluid.
