Rear differential question again

So yall learned me on the fact the manual transmission c4s have d44s stock. mine is cracked need a replacement. will the d44 off a 82 c3 work? gotta ask before i spend 900$ on the damn thing and try to shove it in lol.

Also don't look at 84's for Dana 44's either. No matter if they were auto or standard they were all Dana 36's.
