The schematic says it goes to "Electronic air conditioning" as does the ground below it. This car does have automatic climate control.
I will test it as prescribed in what I have seen here. there is no spot to connect it to the climate control module. And yes, I have considered
that this was for an option I dont have. I am ready, finally to put my dash back together and actually drive it.
I just thought I would throw this out there to see if anyone had an experience with this. As ALWAYS Thanks to all on this adventure

Is it a grey wire with a similar connector that's in the link I supplied? If yes:
Look for a DK BLU single wire maybe from the connector to the AC Control with a matching male connector to the grey I mentioned. The connector would be a Delphi 12015987 looking at an older '87 wiring diagram. If the diagram is correct it would be off of an end of the connector and easily found I believe.
Im sorry, I am a little lost with the explanation. C68? There are no male connectors available on the back of the dash instruments. the grey wire pictured is rather long. There is no Dk Blu wire coming from the climate control box as it is a single multi connector. The connector you speak of can be found where?
Sorry for sounding like an idiot, but I am not that good at finding this stuff in the Elec. Service manual.
Thanks
Bob
With C68 it's like this in FSM cell 8A-68A-0

The connector to the C68 control should be GREEN and I'd expect DK BLU wire in D16 of that connector.
Thank You for your reply. Im sorry but I have no idea what or where this C68 or D16 connectors are. Can you tell me where I can find this or what
They are?
Again I apologize for my ignorance.
Thank again
Bobr

Thank You all for the help and the illustrations. I do have the Elect. manual and I will suppose all this is in there.
I am just not good at zeroing in at specific items like this. I'm going to employ my Daughter to give me some insight.
as how to use it.

All that wire does is change only the C68 (Electronic A/C controls) display from Metric to Standard units. If the wire is left disconnected, the units in the C68 will always be Standard. The dash cluster will still switch between Metric and Standard.
Wonderful, I looked everywhere I could for a possible connection. I do know that I can switch from English to metric
using the cluster. But if thats all that wire does, I will put my dash back together today.
