Default Need to replace fuel injectors???

Started 89 (50000 miles) L-98 yesterday and it ran perfect and smooth idle, is there any reason to change out the injectors for a project or wait until later.
I going to take off the upper plemium, port it, get rid of the IAT sensor plug since I moved it, delete the EGR and replace the fuel regulator, so while its all apart replace them or not?

I'd run them. Maybe send them to Southbay injectors for a cleaning if the car will be down for awhile. Otherwise run a few tanks with some seafoam to clean them out.

If they are the original gray RP Multec injectors then I would replace them. They will fail, and you'll be tearing everything apart again. In this case, since you'll already have everything torn down that far, I would say making this a "one-and-done" project is your safest bet.

There are more efficient 4 hole injectors to upgrade to. I had planned on doing this on my 89, but never got to it. I did do it on my 93 Jeep and had great results. The old technology injectors are a single hole. Newer injectors have 4 holes that helps mist the fuel for better atomization.

Exactly. I went to the 30# injectors after porting my LT4 years ago. Of corse I had it tuned too. Just had them cleaned a couple of months ago for less than $200 and the car is performing great again.

Well, with a 95 lt-1 and just looking to keep stock but over maintain and with 30k miles, sounds like replacing the original injectors is the ticket. I the car is all torn apart because Im doing all the front end gaskets, oil pan gasket, new h2o pump, new radiator....

What type injectors would you suggest?
Or, would you have them sent out to clean?
