Apparently my transmission cable is too long so it isnt showing up which shift position im in correctly, its 32" i bought it from rock auto its a pioneer one, is that the correct size? Transmission shop i sent the car to be adjusted said its too long and they dont want to work on it. Whats the correct size for the transmission cable on a 92? Also if anyone in bakersfield,ca can help me out fixing it? Peas and thank you! Part number is Pioneer CA-1162. No idea why it would fit too long...
Are you sure the issue is with the cable? On my 01 Suburban I rebuilt the trans and installed it myself. I tightened the bolt on the shift lever without holding it and broke a small plastic piece that holds the shift cable to the steering column. I wonder if the center console has a similar plastic piece that could be the issue.

yeah the shop said its too long. They don't want to touch it. Need someone that can work on a corvette
