Fuel Tank Rust
I was under my '96 recently and noticed that one corner of the fuel tank is rusted and starting to fall apart. I was searching around for any tips on changing out the tank (I have an FSM but always on the lookout for some insider tips) and someone said the tank is two shells-a metal outer shell and the plastic inner which actually holds the fuel.
My questions are 1) is this the case? and 2) if so, does that mean the fuel is safe inside the plastic tank? As in, do I need to immediately swap out the tank?
Thanks for the clarification.

Even up here in NY you are pressed to see a tank rot out and leak unless it was a real bucket of crap.
Keep an eye on it and if you decide to change it in the future, its actually not too bad of a job...
