ok quick question, owned my 89 for 10 years or so and i need a new fuel sending unit, i have some mild work
done to motor (miniram, ported heads, headers) i tuned the car myself, runs great, should I replace the fuel pump
when i do sending unit? was a low mileage car when I bought it so i am pretty sure it has the original pump in it. with all the
chinese crap out there i hate to create a future problem when i dont have to pump is 32 years old though thoughts?

TI Automotive purchased Walbro in maybe 2000 and many of their 'submersible' pumps are made in USA or maybe Europe. There's people that buy 'cheapest', most expensive and generally maybe in 'the middle'! I'd think if you're doing a new hanger you should do a new pump etc. Whose hanger are you considering the purchase of? I've not needed a pump in a very long time BUT maybe consider a TI Automotive.
havent looked into where im buying yet, usually I go with OEM when i can, not sure AC Delco is a better
choice anymore. they seem to be available. walbro for the pump was my first choice
