Default Vacuum cap shot off

So like the title says a vacuum cap blew off when I went to start my car, I’ve been trying to get my vette running well again and have done a ton to it, got a tuned chip specifically for this build and all. Sadly though it runs rough and won’t idle right at all, I haven’t dared to drive it yet cause I don’t want anything to blow up. That leads to today, I started it up after putting in a new IAC valve and let it get to operating temperature which helped a little, also refilled the coolant during this time. Played with the idle screw a little and it seemed as happy as it was gonna get, then it died a few minutes later. I let it rest some then went to start it up and heard a loud bang and saw smoke went to look at the smoke and saw what I have pictured. Any idea’s? (I put the vac cap back on after picture and haven’t tried to start since. Smoked smelled of exhaust but the whole garage smelled of exhaust so I can’t be certain)
