I know this topic has been beaten to death but I am about
to get some eliminators put on the car based on the answers I
receive here.
Do the eliminators really DECREASE POWER?
Is anyone sorry they put on the eliminators and why?
Thank's again,

Mine are going on Saturday and the decrease in power is probably minimal at best or should I say worst...nothing to worry about specialy if you have other mods... :yesnod:
I didn't notice any loss in power with the elims, but I don't have before and after track times to compare. My car does seem to idle and run smoother. Some people have said you lose something like 5 ft/lbs torque, but if your not racing it $92 vs $600+ is a big difference. As far as sound, from inside the car idle and mild driving sound the same. I only have resonance if I cruise at 24k+ RPMs. If I stomp the gas from any speed it gets mean. I don't think I'll ever put a set of mufflers back on.
First of all, I don't care what anyone says, you won't feel a loss or gain that small. You will lose power, I have it documented in my many hundreds 1/4 mile time slips.
I lost 1.5 mph in the 1/4, mt et's improved, but mostly due to me getting better at my launching.
So for the little loss that you won't or can't feel(trust me you won't miss it), it's definitely worth it, so much worth it that I'm taking my Corsa off and putting eliminators back on. That's how much I like them. The Corsa will end up on my '93 where it will do more good since that is my track car.
BTW when I put the Corsa on my '95, I got back that lost power that I couldn't feel.
I never felt a loss, I thought it felt quicker and my friends also did too. And i never felt any bottom end loss, even if there was a slight loss its worth the sound.
How do ya like them? I loved mine, little to no difference, even for a fine tuned tooshy, I even gutted my cats, the elims were not aggresive enough :jester
Re: Another Muffler Elims question. (No Ordinary 91)
The suspense is killing me,I can't get away from work
to pick the car up!Trust me,everyone will know how
I like them soon enough.
Thank's for the replies,

They are AWESOME, I know you will LOVE them!!
Stand behind the car and have someone rev it for you... Sends shivers up the spine it sounds so good. Then go out and drive! :steering:
MY ELIM. PIPES ARE PROBABLY COMING OFF WHEN I PUT MY LONG TUBES ON. I THINK IT WILL BE A LITTLE LOUD WITH NO CATS. THE CAR SOUNDS GREAT NOW BUT AT IDLE IT SOUNDS A LITTLE FUNNY. IT JUST HAS THAT CAT. CONVERTER AIR RUSHING SOUND. I THINK I WILL GO WITH THE MAGNAFLOWS NO RESONATER AND NO CATS WITH THE LONG TUBES. VVVVVRRRRROOOOOOOMMMM!!! I CANT WAIT!!! :steering:
Man I have to say they sound great! Not too loud and just enough
ooph.I should have put these on a long time ago.Thank's for all
the helpful replies.
