Hello I am in the process of rebuilding a Dana 44 and I have ordered like four different sockets for the pinion nut. Does anyone know where I can buy a correct socket that fits in to remove the pinion nut? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You've purchased what size HEX 33mm or 1 9/32? 6 point or 12 point? You can't/couldn't modify the OD of anything you've purchased to work?
Many modify the OD of 'something' to work.
An inexpensive option to purchase?
Bezos looks to have a candidate that's 12 point! 33mm I don't buy from him so no link provided.
This NAPA would/should be a bit more $$$ but local. $$ might depend on a NAPA relationship. It's 12 point and thin wall also. Will it work? Don't know NPT 619133. In stock? Maybe

awesome. Thank you. I have not yet threw one in a lathe but I was really getting close lol
Harbor freight also has an inexpensive socket set in 3/4 drive... I've modified them for use on various axles and differentials over the years... Don't recall the metric having 33 or not however. Another semi local place to check.

Ditto on the HF set. I didn't need to modify the socket that I used.

What might be considered an 'inexpensive' set that includes 33mm known to work? What might be a one 'project' need I'd think might not justify the $$. The NAPA I referenced with my relationship was considerably less than 20$ and the Bezos which is a 'maybe' very inexpensive.

well I had to mod one of my sockets. I put it in my drill press and used a grinder and brought it down a little bit. Worked great.
