Get some racing seats and mount them in the car. You can get some pretty nice looking ones, and you not only will gain a ton of space, but also probably save quite a bit on weight.
I'm 5' 11" and when I drag race with a helmet on its always touching the roof. I usually get in, and then slouch down a little to make room for my head.
I need to put a cage in my car for this season and am glad considering the safety issues of vette and other larger vehicles. But I will say this. I have seen some pretty hard hit vettes, and for all intense purposes, they held together much better than you would suspect. But at high MPH crash, you would be in trouble. :crazy: :thumbs:
