Ive read and read and read. I know there are several threads on this topic. Here is what I have checked so far
I have replaced the switch at the brake pedal
I have replaced vacuum lines going from servo to brake pedal and canister
I have checked the fuse
I have checked the servo under the hood to make sure it holds vacuum
beyond these things I am pretty much stumped. Im not an electrical guy. I own a meter but well.....have no idea how to use it. my guess is that at this point it has to be the switch on the column or the control module? if someone could tell me how to check those items and really REALLY dumb it down for me I would appreciate it.
Cruise is now working. The brake switch at the pedal also affects the cruise control!!!!
This makes sense. Most cruise control systems (well all that I have encountered) are designed to disengage when the brake pedal is pressed and then require some control input to resume afterwards. Usually the same with clutch pedal on manual transmissions.
