Good Evening, Happy New Year Everyone.

Can someone help me ID this connector in an 1985 C4 please?. It is sitting next to the drivers side front wheel. I do not see it's mate. I am not sure what it is. It is a small roundish sort of beat up connector with two female openings.

Thanks

Charles

This is the larger shot of the connector. The front of the car is top, the back of care is bottom. That is the drivers side front time.

This is a closer up shot of the connector sitting on the wheel liner edge

You didn't say the year of the car, but that doesn't look OEM to me? It also looks like Bubba may have been in there working on the wiring.

Is that the brake master cylinder warning light connector, connects near front right side of master? It's looking pretty hosed if it is....

Yes, looks like the connector on the brake master cylinder. It looks like the while part broke off and is still on the wire side connector.

It's plug from the master cylinder, when they get loose the seem to always whined up by the manifold and get cooked.

. As someone pointed out it's snapped off with the top 1/2 of the switch it still inside the plug.

when you order a master cylinder, does the connection for this lonely wire come with it?

Going back to look at the master cylinder, I now notice that all there is a white plug with a spring sticking out of it. It is actually visible on the pulled out picture just next to the reservoir. Does this need to be removed for a new plug?

Here's the packaging from when I replaced mine last year, in case you need part numbers.

Mine is a '90, though.

It did come with the entire wire and the connector all in one piece.

The wire is really long, though. Be sure to manage it. And keep it away from your exhaust. And definitely keep it away from contact with your intermediate steering shaft. (That's the steering shaft with the universal joint on it below your MC)

That's why I had to replace mine, it got tangled up in that and destroyed.

A bag of those long, heavy duty black zip ties from Auto Zone or wherever is handy to keep around.
