I have an 1985 C4. I have a continuous running antenna motor when the battery is attached. Is there a way to disable this motor without a dismantle of the rear left quarter? Is there a fuse or relay or connector within reasonable reach? If so, where? If not, what is the best way of stopping it from running>
Thanks so much. I don't have an FSM. Wish I did. Thanks for you directions but I am not sure I understand. When you say right side do you mean right side of car? or drivers side. The antenna is on the driver side. Do you have to remove the wheel house liner to get to it?
Driver side (in usa) is always the left. Passenger is right side. Left and right are from your perspective sitting in the car.
The rear deck lid trim piece you need to take off. Its the big piece across the rear cargo area (with the spring loaded targa piece) under that is a relay for the antenna and the hatch pop. Should be obvious once you see it.
And like above post, save yourself alot of headaches and get the actual FSM. Well worth it.

I errored in post #2. The support is at the rear body panel, relay is pictured. I did PM you regarding a FSM for your '85.
