Default Service Ride Control

Hello,

My 92 LT1's Ride Control has failed (for nearly 1 year now), so I've replaced the 4 default struts with Konis and it runs fine...but I still have the Service Ride Control message on and this is annoying (mainly when you drive at night because it is not possible to dim it  )... I've been told that it is not possible to switch this message off because the computer keeps on detecting that the ride control is unserviseable...
Does somebody know something about this?
Thanks

Try just removing the bulb.. If someone knows how to disable the system I'm sure they will post...

Why did you replace the shocks with Koni's? Do you still have the Bilsteins? You can get them revalved for $55/ea and they will be as good as new. The reason the light is coming on is because of the actuators. This is just my guess. I'm not sure how you eliminate it however...

You can pull the bilb or disconnect the system. A connector is located in the storage compartment behind the drivers seat. The same place the ABS is housed. There shud be a connector about 2X 3 located on the bulkhead. I think its held by two screws or velcro. Its got about 27 pins. Disconnecting it will not effect any other system. Got this from a corvette frver article.

Yes lift up the driver side cubby hole in the rear, remove the plastic bin and down below is the ABS controller.
