C4 Wheel and tires
Welcome to the Corvette Forum! This IS the place to be if you have a Corvette and questions! We are glad you are joining us. When you get a moment be sure to fill out the Profile section and people will slow down the "what year is your Corvette" type questions.
The first item you should get right away is a Factory Service Manual for your 1984 Corvette if you don't have one already. They available in print from Helm Publishing for about $85 and on DVD (in PDF format) from Rockauto for about $35. There are two books in the 1988 set for my C4. One is the Mechanical systems and the second is the Electrical systems. These book are really important to have as they were designed for your particular year Corvette. The FSM's are priceless and I could not do what I do without them.
Scanners are REALLY helpful when trying to figure out a problem on a Corvette. I have a old Snap On MT2500 for the OBD1 systems and it really helps. I also have a Bluetooth adapter OBD1 Scanner that works well. They make figuring out problems much easier seeing the data in live time.
Fuel Pressure setting are very important on the 1984 C4 so a good gas pressure gauge with a long hose is a handy thing to have around. Fortunately there are a lot of 1984 Corvette owners here on the forum who can help you with the peculiarities of the 1984 Corvette!
