So I baught this sexy car about 2 weeks ago. I am a beginner when it comes to cars and especially Corvettes. I baught it as a non running Vette. I've replaced the fuel pump which he said needed to be. Still didn't start. It does turn over. I then realized the fuse for the fuel pump was burnt so I replaced that with still no dice. The battery did end up dieing a little before I started replacing everything and I was using a 12v battery pack to try and jump it or just give it electricity in general. When I cranked it all of the lights go out. And then I realised the fuel injectors weren't firing (crossfire engine) I am currently thinking it's cause trying to start it is taking the electricity away from everything else. So my current plan is to just charge my battery and try again tomorrow. Any tips and info would be greatly appreciated.
Start with going through all your connections to and from the battery. Unless the battery is about dead you shouldn't be seeing all the lighting going out like that. You can also use a voltage meter and check rest voltage with everything off and cranking voltage at various points. Report back from there.
Next step would be confirming fuel flow with key on, pump should run for about 5 or 10 seconds then shut off. Probe relay and check harness at tank for power if not.
I'd also reccomend picking up an 84 factory service manual because they are extremely helpful in diagnostic troubleshooting issues exactly like this.
You need to answer a couple of questions are you getting injector pulse, so a tool called a Noid Light is needed it is available at most parts stores that have tool rental.
Next do you have Spark, you can test this with a old Spark plug or the actual tool or if your system is working good you can lean the end of boot near an exhaust bolt and watch for arch
You can also pour about a shot glass of gas in the injector plates and give a crank, if it pops start chasing fuel system.
. If you haven't done it yet change fuel filter

Thank you for the input. My battery was completely dead and I just hooked up a 12v battery pack to the battery and cranked it the engine was making noise just wasn't starting and all the lights and electronics went out. I have a video I can attach. The air compressor sounding noise is just the battery pack

sorry I had trouble with the video attachment thingy. Here's the video I got.
You're definitely going to need to a little better on your battery charging.
If you don't have a "noid" light to test the injectors you can touch a 9V battery across the terminals and see if you can hear them click. If you can manage to do that when you first cycle the key and the fuel pump is hopefully running they should spray fuel.
You can also try a sniff of starting fluid while somebody is cranking it to see if it fires. If it does, then you know you have spark. Don't get silly with the ether. A one or two second shot should be enough.
