Default That ring that fastens down the FPR

I was just out there checking on my Tender and then just poking around with a flashlight out of boredom and noticed that the ring that the six torx screws tighten onto is installed upside down.

I installed it last year, so it's my own dumb fault.

The serial number on the ring is supposed to be facing down. But mine is facing up. And there's a little lip on that ring that I think is also supposed to be facing downward. Which, of course, is also facing upward instead.

Is that gonna be a problem? The FPR is spring loaded, as you know. So it's not gonna get any tighter.

I'm just wondering if that lip around the inner part of the ring that should be facing down will affect the inner part of the diaphragm itself.

I found an image on the web, and interestingly, it's installed the same way mine is, with the serial number and the inner lip facing upward.

But I don't think that's right either.

I think the serial number and the inner lip is supposed to be facing downward.

Am I wrong about that?

Nevermind.

I think I have it right, after looking around at some other installs on youtube.

Thanks for chiming in and verifying.

I don't know what made me think it may have went the other way instead.
