Questions regrading TunerCat/DataCat
Hello, I have a 94 with a pretty jank cam+intake/exhaust setup and the mail order tune only goes so far. I was wondering if anyone has any experience using TunerCats or any opinions on it. I would have a shop tune it but I don't know of any in the Portland OR area with the capability. Also, can DataCats measure AFRs? Any input is greatly appreciated!

I have used Tunercat and it works well, but on the 1994 and 1995 cars when you flash the ECM you do have a chance of a flash failure which my junk out the computer. You may want to see if you can find a spare computer.

In the Portland/ Vancouver area you can give Tom Wong a call at Wong’s Performance Engineering. He is the go to guy for Corvettes in the area. He is usually very busy and could have a wait time of a couple of months but you never know. Have him put it up on his dyno and he will dial it in for you.

Have you looked into TunerPro and Flashhack? Flashhack is for copy and write of bins from the pcm. TunerPro is for modifying bins. Then there’s EEhack for scanning and data logging. Free share ware but you can donate if you want. All you need is suitable ALDL cable and laptop. I’ve been using all of these programs on a 94 LT1 in a Malibu wagon. Low risk of bricking with Flashhack
