Hello, looking to upgrade alternator from stock. Have seen 200 and 250 amp models available. What other mods would be required to up the amps? May go to dual batteries if needed.
Several stereo amplifiers and lots of lighting if you are wondering

Thank You.
You better go to a professional auto stereo shop and find out what you are getting yourself into. Or do like some of us do and install a nice loud exhaust system for our music enjoyment!! No big alternator, dual batteries, heavy wiring, or 3 fire extinguishers required!!
Try using an Alternator from a LT1 car, such as a 94.
harness plugs in with no mofification, the battery lead is the right length, and all u have to do to make it work is file the top alternator bracket a little wider go fit the later alternator.
benefits:
more segments, and charges at idle.
more amps
looks great
hood closes!!
they are relatively inexpensive.
you can get a used one for around $75-$100
