Default Super ram question

Looking for feedback from long timer super ram users. I have one and the runner openings look beveled from factory and a couple openings look almost knife edged, is this normal and will this seal? Should I use rtv as well? I've heard both yes and no based on searching the forum.

Yes its normal, and no it might not seal. I use The Right Stuff and RTV as well.

Machine edges flat if you can.

I would clean/scuff the beveled surface and weld up, grind/sand/file flat and to match port. As an alternative, perhaps Devcon Aluminum Liquid (commonly used to fill intake ports in heads) and of course there's JB Weld but be extra careful with prep work or it may pop out (never had thet happen, but I understand that there's greater risk). The cast/machining/match is poor in a lot of areas on the SuperRam, so there's a lot of time consuming work to be done (as we've discussed a little bit before)

Vacuumed leaks can be a real problem with the super ram and its a pain to take apart to fix, I'd definitely give that 'knife edge' some attention.
