I did the -8 return line too. I needed good return flow with a high volume pump and only 6.5 lbs fuel pressure for a carb. Works well, easy to keep the fuel pressure low and stable.

Hi @dizwiz24 . Do you have any pics of your setup? I'd love to see them.

I found a photo of a normal dual pump setup using the existing feed line. I'm adding it here because finding photos of Racetronix setups is not easy and I thought it could be helpful to someone.

What's the difference between DPFS-C4680J and your existing DIYDPK-C4X kit? And when do you roughly expect those new items to go up on your site? I'm trying to get my car ready by August so I'm going to have to pull the trigger in the next couple weeks.

The DPFS (dual pump fuel systems) come assembled and tested on a new SS fuel pump hanger.
The DIYDPK = do-it-yourself dual pump kit is just the parts less the hanger for DIY customers.

Thanks. Do you have a rough price point for the DPFS kit?

They will be similar to our Turbo Buick systems we have offered for many years.

Cracked me up

I've wondered what was with the $9999 prices on their site - not terribly obvious that there's an MSRP hidden on the page. It looks like their Buick kits list an MSRP of $700-$800, so DIY is the route for me for a few hundred less.

Jack? from Racetronix was super-helpful.
Had many late night conversations on this project.

i oriented the fuel socks fore-aft with the front pump sock being the lowest and the rear pump sock being slightly higher and overlapped by part of the other sock

both socks fit in the bucket.

I did have an issue where the twin rxp pumps would bottom out (sock against the bucket) no matter where i set the twin fuel pump holder base setscrew at. So I had to build an aluminum 3/16”spacer in between the tank and fuel pump hanger and sandwhich it in between 2 fuel pump sending unit gaskets

ive ran it low on fuel without issues.

where i run into issues is cornering, if i make a hard left turn with less than 10 gallons gas, i get fuel starvation. Its a sudden cut out. Very obvious.

i need to pull it apart and see whats going on

ok, i was super busy a few months ago (training for a marathon) and had no time to respond.

here is my setup that i run on my boosted d1-sc c4, with e85.
It works great, except i get fuel starvation during cornering with anything < 8 gallons in the tank.

the filter socks ‘seem’ bottom out in the plastic bucket.

The issue with these type installs is that most run the feed through the factory fuel feed line out of the tank, which is very small (<0.375" ID). This becomes an issue with large volumes of fuel required in high HP, boosted C4s.

I run a -12AN line from the sump out of the bottom with a -8AN return over the top.

theres no way those filters could fit in the bucket sideways like that?

(or am i wrong?)

-12 is way oversized. Maybe back in the carb days with pressures of 7PSI this size may be considered.
On FI cars -8 PTFE line / fittings can easily support 1500FWHP.
The 3/8" discharge tube with a -8 JIC compression adapter is enough to support our dual 340 system.

The -12AN line feeds through the inlet filter into the pump, and the pump discharge is -10AN through filter to the front of the car where it splits to twin -8AN feeding each fuel rail. I have no fueling issues in my application.

What is the HP limitation of feeding through the OEM fuel line tubing out of the top of the tank? The OEM tube is considerably smaller than 0.375" ID.

So you are using in-line / external pumps?

In-line / external pumps are totally different b/c they are not immersed in fuel and generally have poor suction capability so they are best gravity fed with large lines.
Regardless this application has nothing to do with our dual in-tank DIY kits and hangers.
