That's exactly what I had done on my '90 last Friday! Looks good.... I know mine sounds awesome!

:D

How is the renasonce on the L98 (buzzing inside the cabin)?

Not bad at all, really. I used to have a y-pipe with crossover tube and the zr1 style tips from Mid America that had a little bit of something inside there, and I think it was a bit more annoying than just striaght pipe.

Check out my pics in my thread here:

Looks good, they're just like mine were. Light84, elims are pretty loud, there's a bunch of resonance. If it wasn't my daily driver I would've kept them, but the gf got sick of them too so I went to Corsa's :chevy

Well I have those 80 Flowmasters which are not at all loud. SO maybe I should go with those 40series mufflers. :yesnod:

I replaced the resonators with straight back pipes from Mid-Am. Main cat muffles enough, IMO.

In one of the other threads a Member said he has elims with Hooker resonator tips. He says the Hookers quiet it down some and he has only minor resonance issues between 1400-1500 rpm.
I think I will go that way too. I did some checking today, I can get the dual chrome tips by Hooker for $84 and the muffler shop said they would remove the stock mufflers, fabricate the pipe to replace them and install the tips for $100. So for less than $200 I'll have poor man's Corsas :jester

Jim,
I never get tired of talking about corvette's! I still have my cats in place.
I was told by the muffler shop that without the cats the car would be
very loud,so I left mine alone.Mine does sound very similar to the sound
clip. You will want to drive your corvette even more with the eliminators-
if that's possible!
Happy New Year,

Just thought I'd throw my .02 in.. my vette already had the resonator removed by the previous owner.. since then I added a set of hooker shorty headers. Sounded the same as I expected it too.. then now I just put a set of gutted cats on.. (kept the old ones intact for emissions time.. ) and I have to say it's much louder I am very happy with it.. no real resonance issuses to complain of.. so basically I'm running true duals.. with just the 2 factory mufflers and I would say the gutted cats was the best 40$ i spent.. very happy with it..
