Default Super Ram Lid

To those that have super rams, my lid appears to be more warped than a college girls morals on a spring break trip to south Beach. Is this normal?

I figure, see if machine shop can mill it, from there get a custom lid made?

Build an engines they said..it'll be fun they said...

HAH
Any input is much appreciated.

Later pics are of a straight edge on the gasket surface

When I ran a SuperRam, I RTVd the lid and accessed the plenum bolts from the bottom with a 1/4" air ratchet. A couple of the bolts required box end wrenches but I could install or remove a plenum in a few minutes. If you do it this way, the bolts will flatten the lid and the RTV will seal it.

383 vette I'll try that. I picked this one up NOS from a guy on Facebook and it is immaculate aside from the lid. I might try and snug it down with the bolts and park it on the shelf for a month or 2 to see if that makes a difference. Probably wishful thinking!

I agree w/383 that the bolts will flatten that lid out, mostly.

I can't possibly see that its not going to lay flat when the bolts are tightened. Put a little grease on the gasket snug up the bolts turn it upside down and pour some water in. I'll bet it doesn't run out.
