1992 LT1 100K MILES
I have been Trouble shooting this beauty for over a week now!
Symptom(s):
Rough idle, surges at stop(in Drive), backfires (exhaust). seems to be after warm up, New symptom Have to hold accelerator to start warm or cold AND the primary cooling fan stays on (possible limp mode)
Before yall say it, I ordered a FSM. Just waiting on it to arrive!!!!
Replaced, OPTI, WARTER PUMP, WIRES, PLUGS, coil,, IAC, INLET AIR TEMP, PVC, FPR, ALL 8 INJECTORS.
ONCE ITS RUNNING, IT HAS NEVER STALLED
Following tests, Smoke test vac system..pass, ICM... PASS, Dark out ARC test, no arching!
only code is H26
Any other ideas?
Here’s the diagnostic chart for h26 code from FSM. I searched for 92 corvette h26 codes on google and found info that some people found the egr solenoid checked fine when cold but not when it was checked hot and it set the h26 code. If everything else checks out and you believe it’s the EMC you can send it to SIA Electronics and they w
ill reflow the solder joints. 92-93 EMCs have had problems with their solder joints.
