As my power antenna cable is broken, and a new one is pretty expensive, + I'm not sure how to mount it and I don't know if the rest is working accordingly .... I'm looking for options.
I'm curious of one of you ever tried:

Everyone's got their own situation and threshold for what's "expensive," but my son's power antenna cable is shot as well and I ordered him a replacement mast with cable from www.TheAntennaSource.com. It was under $30 delivered and also included a small "tool" to help remove the retaining nut. We haven't installed it yet, but will probably do so soon and I can update you on how the fitment was. I can't imagine that any retrofit option is going to be substantially cheaper than $30, so if it's just the cable and the motor is still good, you might consider trying this repair first.
If I was on your side of the ocean, I would not hesitate ...
Here (NL) this part is actually somewhere about 70 euros; about $ 80,-
I have never seen an instruction of this part ... and I'm not sure the rest is working proparly
A universal powerantenna would cost about $ 30,-
Still curious about the fitment update ! I'm not in a hurry
Not sure what you mean by broken cable. Here's what I did not because my antenna was broken, I just don't like the way the car looks with it extended. Think bumper car. Anyway I just disconnected the power at the antenna and use a Bluetooth FM transmitter and Spotify, Simple Radio or whatever app on my phone. I don't find any problem with sound quality. I can still receive some stations with the antenna down but I rarely use OTA radio.
my solution was to leave the broken antenna down, which filled the hole and looked proper.
and replaced the entenna with the type you stick to the windshield, on the inside, running horizontally paralell with the top edge of the windshield. You cannot see it. It worked great. i believe i sources that randomly on amazon
Does anyone know how to fix the end of the antenna cable?
In attempting to replace my 1987 Antenna i pulled the cable out of the end where the antenna connects near the read left speaker. Can this be repaired and if so, how to go about doing so?
The solution that costs you zero and looks the best is to simply pull it up by hand when you want it and push it flush when you don't. This was my decision on my '98 convertible.

Just a quick follow-up. The antenna replacement that we bought was such a simple install that my son decided to do it himself when I wasn't home. He removed the retaining nut with the tool they provided, then turned the radio on and allowed the toothed cable to pay out into his hands. He had to fight with it a bit at the end to get the last few teeth free and pull it out. Then he fed the new one in. The only snag was him discovering the rubber bezel was torn so we ordered a new one that he has yet to install. All-in-all, fitment was good and change out was easy - per him.
