Default TV Cable Delete?????

I got my hands on a 1996 slightly modded vette, with only 40K miles. The guy said it would shift, but you had to release the throttle to get it to shift. When I drove it, it seemed that way, but it also seemed to stay in first. When still and shifting into all gears, there's no jerk or clank of any kind. When I looked under the hood. I noticed that the Throttle Valve Cable isn't there. He said something about having it tuned and items deleted. Which goes back to the title. Can a TV cable be deleted? I got it great deal on it, and I don't mind dropping some coin on a new tranny. But Thank you in advance!

I am fairly certain that E transmissions don't have TV cables.

It never had one - a '94+ 4L60e is electrically controlled. The first stop for you should be to a shop that will actually do a 'diagnostic' check. Many do that 'no charge'. The PO mentioned 'tuned' - well .... the sooner you do the drive to a shop for 'diagnostic' check the easier it could be on the wallet. You'll soon know how GOOD the deal actually was.

You guys are absolutely right. There is no TV cable. I also noticed there's no governor. It's going to cost to do a diagnostic here at GM. He said around $143. I already swapped the entire 2-4 band assembly. And the fluid twice. It was very dirty with very little dust like fine shavings
