Has anyone had any experience using the Napa Ceramic Brake pads?

Put them on about 6 weeks ago with Stillen drilled rotors...I am very pleased so far...no squeekin' and a lot less fade...

 Yes!
I took off Carbon Metallics because of dust problems and installed Napa Ceramics
1) They are just as dusty, just a lighter color. Wheels are just as dirty except they are gray, not black!
2) they are tough on roters! After 33 miles of "autocross type" driving, I fried the rotors
3) stopping not as good (sotp) as carbons
Conclusion: Carbons going back on...will sell Ceramix cheap with only 5000 miles if you want them

Thanks for the info I was thinking about some myself. Is there another brand that won't produce as much brake dust?

EBC Greenstuff brake pads produce the least dust of any brake pad I believe. They are made of kevlar:cool:. Check out this website:

Re: Brake Pads (lani's 93)
I put the NAPA ceramic pads on my Tahoe and I don't like them at all. They don't stop as well as the originals and I get a lot of brake fade after just one hard stop.

Re: Brake Pads (lani's 93)
I use Hawks as my daily driver pads on my otherwise stock brake system and they work great. NO squeal, a lot of dust, and they seem to be lasting forever with no ill effects on the rotor life. Stop good, too. But you do have to keep washing those wheels ..................

Re: Brake Pads (NUckINg FuTS)
Greenstuff pads dust a lot (fine print says dust less, not dustless), although the dust is easy to clean. I upgraded to 13" rotors at the same time, so I can't tell how much different they are than OEM pads.

Re: Brake Pads (corvette0096)
Just bought Carbon Metallics from PFC for my brake upgrade after doing alot of research at this site and others. ALL of them (pads) will dust like crazy, and all of them will have to heat up a bit to do any good. I figure who cares about the dust? I want them to STOP the car- not make the wheels apear cleaner....
